“Dual Spires”, in which Shawn and Gus’s simple quest to find someone willing to have a threesome with them turns into something much more.   Tune in for tandem bicycling, longing looks, cinnamon pie, and a surprise ending!

It was a normal day in the Psych office - Shawn and Gus were pretending to work while exchanging flirty looks and sexy Skype messages.

The arrival of a sexy e-mail from a mysterious strange inspires Gus to arrange a romantic weekend getaway in the rustic town of Dual Spires, home of the “Cinnamon Festival”, a widely known code phrase for a gay gathering.  Surely this was the place they could finally find an appropriate third for a threesome.

Stumbling out of a cornfield after a quickie, Shawn and Gus find themselves in the town.  But something seems off…

The lack of sequins, sparkles, or shirtless guys and the confusion of this little girl at seeing two gay men reveals the truth: this is not the “Cinnamon Festival” they were hoping for.  It is in fact an actual Cinnamon Festival.

Upon spying the silver fox who owns the local diner, Shawn and Gus decide the trip is not a complete loss.

They order absurd amounts of pie in the hopes that he will understand their signals.

Unfortunately, their vibes are instead picked up by the local sheriff, who tries to impress them with his hat and shiny badge.

Fleeing from the sheriff, Gus finds some delicious monkey bread and demands the recipe for the next time he makes Shawn brunch.

Upon spotting the silver fox, Shawn and Gus decide to give it one more try.

All seems to be going well.  Laughs and secret smiles are exchanged, pleasantries about monkey bread are traded.  Alas…

Shawn and Gus discover that he’s straight.

Gus is very upset.  Shawn tries to comfort him and promises they’ll find someone else.

Shawn tries to cheer Gus up by renting them a bicycle built for two.

He then tries to spice up the weekend with a bit of playing doctor…

But being violated by a scary woman with surgical gloves…

Is not the kind of kinky Gus had in mind.

Even their attempt to proposition the only attractive jailbait in town…

Does not go well.  Gus and Shawn begin to fear their threesome idea is doomed.

Their next stop on the town tour is the library, where they are flirted with by a clueless small-town librarian.

This makes Shawn and Gus scared and confused.

After popping into the stacks for a quickie…

And posing like models to mess with the librarian…

They return to the diner, where an old timer, who has apparently learned of their quest for a threesome, attempts to flirt with them by smiling creepily and using hand signals.

Shawn and Gus are now even more scared.

Shawn spies a familiar face and potential candidate for their threesome…

But is shot down (This time).

Rejected, they return to the library and are once again accosted by the librarian.

Gus is not amused.

Sick of all the shenanigans, Gus reveals his true purpose behind the trip: he wanted to propose.

Shawn is very touched.

Luckily, they are able to find a priest at short notice…

As well as a sweet little cabin for the honeymoon.

So the next morning they ride to the church on their tandem bicycle and exchange vows.

The wedding reception at the diner is a great success, with everyone dancing and having a good time.

And they all lived happily ever after.  The End!
